Opera Bar: Sydney

Opera Bar Sydney

Opera Bar Sydney

There’s nothing like sipping on your favourite cocktail with friends or sinking a few ales with your mates when you’re surrounded with spectacular Sydney Harbour views. At the Opera Bar, you can enjoy a sweeping view from the iconic Opera House to the Harbour Bridge and onto the CBD skyline.

There’s a choice of indoor seating with intimate booths or bar stools where you can enjoy lunch or dinner. But it’s the large outdoor seating area where you can almost touch the water and watch the ferries glide over the harbour that draws the crowds.

Choose from a range of signature cocktails such as the Opera White Tea, Buds and Bubbles, or a selection of wines and Champagnes by the glass. Beer lovers can go organic with the Opera Bar Organic Pale Ale available on tap or the Belgian style wheat beer, the Opera Bar Organic Blonde.

Order a shared plate of antipasti, mezze or the seafood encompassing Opera Bar Tasting Plate or opt for a pizza by the harbour while enjoying a drink from the outdoor bar and watching the sun set over Sydney. When the evening descends, a different vibe takes over as the city sparkles with lights and live music fills the night air.

This is the place to go to impress someone. Whether they’re from out of town, a first time visitor, or a true local, the Opera Bar with its unparalleled views is what Sydney is all about.

Nothing like knocking off work early on a Friday and heading down to the Opera Bar for a few.

I’m glad you said ‘sinking a few ales’ as we don’t really partake in the activity of ‘cocktail sipping.’ :)
This just looks like a perfect spot for sampling the organic beer. Our ambition is to visit Australia to coincide with the Ashes – which year that will be, who knows…?

Whenever that may be, you’d be more than welcome to come along and we can sink a few ales together! :)

Well, we did exactly that this year and the Opera Bar was the only place we visited three times!
Best drink bargain is the bottle of Tasmanian Fizz. The antipasti messe and the other shared dishes are fine if you like pastrami & salami otherwise there is a good selection of other dishes. Madame Butterfly was superb and, yes, we were there to see our boys bring home the Ashes!

Sounds like you had a fabulous time all around… including bringing home the ashes :) Thank you for your comment!
