Television’s ebullient chef Jamie Oliver is soon to be hitting Sydney’s shores. The popular Food Revolution advocate will be bringing his brand of Jamie’s Italian to Pitt Street in the city’s central business district.
With a capacity for over 200 guests, the restaurant will occupy two floors and the design will be the Jamie’s Italian signature blend of contemporary, rustic and a modern twist.
According to the restaurant’s website, no bookings are necessary for tables less than 6 which is set to see Sydneysiders queuing up to get in. But if the experience is anything like that of Canary Wharf in London, the well-stocked bar is set to make the waiting time pass quickly.
Currently in recruitment mode, Jamie’s Italian is set to open its Sydney doors in August 2011.
