Eliunt Olive Oil

Test tubes in the kitchen? That may be the first impression upon seeing the range of Eliunt Extra Virgin Olive Oils.

The oils take their name from the Eliunts, an ancient civilisation thought to be the best producers of olive oil. The product comes in sleek, sexy black packaging with coloured bands denoting the country of origin but it’s not purely for aesthetics. The opaque tubes protect them from light and heat which can make the oils rancid.

You’ll find 10 oils in the range like the Holy Oil from Jordan with its grassy flavours, Ahiram from 300-year-old trees in Lebanon, Oasis from Tunisia with hints of spice and Monte Ida from Turkey with hints of artichoke. Every oil reflects its terroir and they can be used in salads, meat and vegetable dishes or simply dipped into crusty bread.

The oils are available online at www.eliunt.com in packs of three, five or the full compendium of ten.

With Eliunt Olive Oil, experimenting with test tubes in the kitchen has never been so much fun.
