Beer drinkers take note! The 7th Annual Australian Beer Festival is back in the Rocks with Gloucester Street closed down and drinking stalls lined up with beer lovers. Beer and cider will also be on taste with live entertainment, BBQ stalls, Meet the Brewer sessions and other activities which include tasting and judging beers from over 20 brewers nationwide.

The Australian Heritage Hotel, a heritage-listed pub is renowned for its patriotic support of Australian beers and carried over 120 different beers. Peckish for food? Try the hotel’s specialty kangaroo, emu and crocodile pizzas made with indigenous ingredients.

The 2 day event runs over Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th October from 12 noon to 5pm. Entry to the festival is free with 10 Tasting tickets at $10 and Tasting Cups at $5 each.

    Turkey's For Life

    And I bet the Aussies know how to do a pretty decent beer festival. There’s a beer festival in Antalya, 3 hours down the road from us, as part of the Oktoberfest as there is a large German contingent there. Maybe we should head there next year for some sensible sampling of beer… :)
